So this is my Jane Shilton white small on the shoulder bag. I picked this up in a charity shop around 2 years ago and I still have it to this day.  I would be lost without it as it is my perfect summer bag.




I always keep in my purse :

 My wallet : 99p from Home Bargains. Its the perfect size for my cards and change.

Sunglasses : £2.00 from Primark. I only wear sunglasses if it is extremely sunny due to me wearing normal glasses full time.

 Lip Oil : w7makeup. I carry this around all the time with me, I wear it with makeup or without makeup. Either way it leaves your skin nourished, soft, smooth and with a glorious rosy colour to them.

 Lipstick : Burgandy from New Look. This is my choice of lipstick for today. So it has a firm place in my purse today.

 Spring water spray : Avene £2.00. This is by far my favourite product in my purse, I don't go anywhere without it. It sets my makeup, I can spray it on my face and body if it is warm outside, if I need to cool off.

So there you have it a quick glimse into my purse.

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask.

 Everyone deserves to be pampered every now and then. So why not use the Thermal Detox Mask.

 This honestly works wonders, I can't actually say a bad thing about this mask.

I use this twice a week, on a Sunday and on a Wednesday. I have combination skin, so I tend to only use this on areas that need it the most. My forehead, chin and my nose. I don't use it any where else.

The mask is a charcoal activated mask, its a self heating mask, so when it touches your skin it immediately starts to warm up, not to where it hurts your skin but to a moment where its luke warm. The warmth of the product opens pores so the clay mask can unclog any pores and clear impurities.
It has oil of myrrh so it gently leaves your skin feeling purified and cleansed.

I sometimes feel my face can get quite muddy, after a full day of makeup. So I take my makeup off and I use this. My face feels cleansed and definitely not muddy. It has the right balance and it feels fresh my skin whenever Ive used it.

 Directions of use :

 1. Cleanse your skin completely, remove all makeup. You do need to leave your skin damp however for the product to work.

 2. Massage a thin layer over your face or the areas needed.

 3. Wait for 5 minutes for the product to activate and work.

 4. Rinse the product of using warm water or a cloth.

5. Pat dry your skin and then either use the Sanctuary Spa moisturiser or use a one of your choosing.

You can pick this up in all beauty department store, I picked mine up from TJHughes, you can get it in BootsUk.

For a charcoal mask, this is by far one of the best.

I have to say I never used to be a fan of the kitten heel, I think its because I was a dancer so I preferred to be on my toes and in the highest of heels. As I have gotten older however, I do love to wear small heels ( now referred to as kitten heels ) they are comfy, especially if you have ran errands all day. They are often more stylish that higher heels.

A lot of people in the fashion industry are bringing them back out and a lot of bloggers are wearing them. I am not sure if it is because its spring and they honestly go with everything but they are back with full force and don't look like they are moving anytime soon.


Who wouldn't like style but have the ultimate comfort whilst your are out and about? These are some shoes I have found whilst browsing the internet and vogue. They are perfect for spring for that ultimate classy get up just like Audrey or even Coco Chanel herself. She loved a good kitten heel didn't she?

 For high street equivalent, New Look, Primark and Topshop have some gorgeous kitten heels in at the moment. I cant wait to get my heels out especially for over spring!

So tissue masks originated in Korea and soon became an extremely popular product across the world. From sheet masks to gel or tissue masks all of them work but it depends what works well for you and your skin type.

There are many different skin types out there, you can either have dry skin, oily skin, combination skin, normal skin, sensitive skin, ageing and irritating  skin. When it comes to skincare you need to make sure you are using the best thing for your skin.

I have sensitive skin so I use simple for sensitive skin and its perfect for me and works wonders. However when Garnier Uk brought out their moisture bomb range, I tested it and it works just as good on my skin. I could use it alongside my normal skin care.

Tissue Masks however are a whole new ball game, they offer a new amount of moisture that's the perfect amount without going overboard. As some people usually do. I used to go overboard because I thought the more I used the clearer my skin would be. I was clearly wrong. 

You can apply a tissue / sheet mask on your face for around 20 minutes and your face doesn't feel suffocated. You'll find as well that you don't need to rinse your face afterwards because your skin has absorbed all of the goodness and you can just pat the rest into your skin.

I have been sorting through my personal makeup bag recently and because I am home a lot at the moment, I have transferred my main makeup to a little white tray on my desk. Its so much easier to access and see the products clearly without them being messy or even potentially broken.

All of the products I have out are my everyday makeup go to products. I also only use high street brands at the moment as I believe there are many products out there that do what high end products but for the third of the price.

I was recently sent a couple of palettes from a friend, which I have to say I am loving. w7makeup seem to be a god send when it comes to high street versions of products. I could never stop using their products. I feel to attached.

 I decided I would write down my views on what I really think of the palettes and if they are worth the money. Even though they are below £6 per palette, some people may not think its actually worth spending the money. I am here to tell you, that you should go and purchase their palettes. I will continue to buy their palettes for as long as I am able.

The Naughty Nine palettes strike me as a dupe of the mac nine shadow palettes, they have the exact same look but with different colours and a different logo. With the huge difference being the price. I'm not saying don't buy the MAC products because that would be stupid of me. However if you are on a budget when it comes to buying makeup, I would suggest buying these as the perfect dupe.

Bangkok Nights

 Bangkok nights is a very purple toned palette, ranging from mattes to shimmers in a vary of purple toned colours. You have your light pink shimmers to your deep purple mattes. The colours are very pigmented, as you can see on my review video on YouTube. As soon as you touch the shadow you can tell they are pigmented, the colours blend easy, they also work very well together in a sense of lights v darks.

I have swatched each of the colours for you, with each individual colour not having a name. The lightest near to my hand is number and the last next to my elbow is shade 9. My favourite out of the shades has to be shades 1, 3, 4, 7. I just think they are such pretty, girly, smoky eye glam colours. I have a fair skin tone, so this palette goes perfect with this.

Arabian Nights

 This palette is based on a nude/beige and brown concept. It ranges from a very light pink nude colour all the way to a shimmer deep brown. These are perfect for that night time glam, a very smoky outer corner of the eye or a shimmer cut crease.

 All palettes in this range are highly pigmented, so I don't feel like I need to comment on that all the time. 

However here are the swatches I have from the palettes. Again the one next to my hand is number 1 and the one next to my elbow is number 9, I only really like number 2 and 7. I like the others also but on this particular palettes 2 and 7 stand out the most.



Hard Days Night

 Hard Days Night is by far the most smoked palettes, the colours range from white to black with a couple of blue/greys and greys in between. This is a very work makeup palette, something subtle but also stand out ish. A lot of the colours in this palette would be perfect for nights out and events but only to use under the bottom lash line or above the top lash line as liner.

On this particular palette I love number 1, 4, 6, 8, 9. Just because for me personally I am all in favour of a dark smoked out eye look.

So many of you have read my 'Being a Makeup Artist - Part 1' and you've loved it. So I decided to do a follow up post, that covered portfolio and advertising..

Portfolio:

I was someone who was big on taking photos and would forget where I uploaded them or I deleted them by accident. Rooky mistake there Becca. I soon realised that if I wanted to apply for jobs in the industry or even start my own company that I would need to keep those pictures, so I bought a hard drive to store them all on, so I wouldn't lose them... Again. Making a portfolio, whether it is a hardback book, website or even social media. It has to be your best work/edits that you show. Unedited work or not any of your best pictures are not ideal to post or have printed, unless you are showing how you transition from unedited to edited. You should only print the best ones or upload the best ones.

I learned this the hard way. ( I have many stories like this, I will save for a completely new post)

I was turned down for so many jobs or they would say we've already seen your work and we don't think you're suitable. I would think about how they have already seen my work even though I hadn't sent anything through to them. Oh yes! Social Media. They have seen my unedited work that I posted a while back and I got an immediate rejection. I soon started a new social media page for all of my edited and best work to go on. I didn't at the time realise that companies can google or go onto social media to find out all about you before you have either attended the interview or been given a response to say that they have accepted your application. The process baffled me until I changed the way I uploaded work or what I wrote. All of my social media pages are public for the world to see, they can look to see what type of person you are just by what you write.

Little things like this helped me see the bigger picture on what I want for my future.

I have a hardback book and an online portfolio as well as social media. I decided that I needed something printed in case I cant access the internet at an interview or on a job. My online portfolio and social  medias are a link for anyone to see who I am, what my interests are , why and what I do with my work.


Advertising:

This is something I try to find new ways of doing. I dont think that makes sense but to me it does, so I'll keep it in. Why not? haha.

I always want to push the boundaries of what I post or how I connect an audience.

I have started to go to wedding shops, hairdressers, florists, bakeries anywhere that people can go in and potentially ask about makeup artists. Its one of the best ways to be contacted. Say you leave a bunch of business cards at a wedding dress shop, someone goes in and complains that their makeup artist has cancelled so they are without an artist for the day. Your card can be given out and then BAM you are hired for the wedding.

Social media can be seen by people world wide, so why not advertise who you are on their, what you do and even show what you do. I started to upload videos to my social medias to showcase my skills, I think yeah its good uploading a photo of the finished work but why not upload a video of you doing said work. I have people come up to me in the street and say I seen your video on how to do bushy brows. I wondered if you have spaces at the weekend to book me in for my makeup for a night out. it honestly starts like that. How do you think people like Plouise Makeup Academy are doing extremely well, they advertised on social media.

Also handy to have are business cards, links to social media, leaflets, posters and all that jazz.

Basically I am going to share some of my most embarrassing moments of when I first became a makeup artist.

Story time;

I was asked to go to a local university for a Y3 Graduate Fashion Magazine Launch and there would be a catwalk show. I was originally told there is only 6 people to do makeup for and you will have enough time to do it all before the show starts.  I thought aw perfect, so I dropped my stuff and went for a hot chocolate. What a major mistake I made. Let me tell you.
I went off what I was told about the job, so I packed accordingly for that. I didn't realise there would be more people, less time than originally told, I was in a terrible spot for lighting and space and I was on my own. I only prepped for me being there, instead of finding an assistant to go to the job with me. So I had to lay everything out in accordance to when I would need it. So I would have to rush around like a headless chicken. Even though that is exactly what I did because I was under pressure, I obviously began to panic. I was doing peoples makeup 2 seconds before they took to the stage. I was stood backstage with eyelash glue lathered on my hand and I had eyelashes stuck to it, ready to attach to the eyes. I think after this night I definitely went home and had that huge glass of rose. What a stressful night. Not to mention I tripped over the chair next to my work station, luckily no one saw because I tried to mask it well. The bruise on my leg was glorious for a couple of weeks after.

This experience showed me to be more prepared and definitely bring more than one person to do makeup for events like this. Like I sad it was one of my first shows I had done like this.


Story time take 2;

I was asked on my first house call for a girls 18th birthday makeup and boy was that scary. I had only ever done studio work up until this point. I was that scared, I got my friend to come with me. We rocked up to the house to find out it was practically a mansion with gorgeous exterior as well as the interior. I rocked up in a pair of ripped jeans and converse with an oversized cardigan on. I looked swell. She wanted a very specific style makeup after changing it up the day before. ( Some thing I am now not the biggest fan of ). I didnt know what to say when I was in the house, she kept trying to talk to me and I stayed silent. * Hand on the head emoji. If they was one* I just didnt know how to respond because the house was stunning and they came from the best neighbourhood in town, I felt intimidated by her. Which now I realise was extremely stupid of me. I also fell over in her house. *Yes you will realise I am EXTREMELY clumsy* *like so bad * She helped me up and my friend just laughed at me and filmed it. If I can find the footage I will insert it in. If not that footage will stay with me forever as its sooooooo embarrassing.


Have you ever done that thing where you spill fake blood all over the carpet in your work and it looked like a crime seen? Well I have. I spent the next 3 hours with warm soapy water trying to clean all of it out. My hands were dyed red for about a week. Luckily the day I spilt the fake blood I was off after that. These things seem to only happen to me. No body else. Can someone give me some good luck please? It definitely looks like I need it. hahaha

I think that's enough embarrassment for one day. Ill do a part 2 of this in a video for YouTube. Just because why not ey?

So you want to be a makeup artist?

I remember when I first announced that this is the job I want to be in. I want to be a Professional Makeup Artist who travels the world doing makeup for celebrities. I wanted this to happen instantly and when it didnt. Boy was I upset.. I had loads of different emotions going through my head, sad that my dreams were not coming true, annoyed that its taking forever to even get one step closer.

I didn't realise how hard it was going to be. I thought it would happen instantly and I would be immediately noticed for my work. I was wrong. I needed to network, assist, travel, do unpaid work, work on my portfolio and resume. It was a lot harder than I ultimately believed.

Don't get me wrong being a makeup artist is a pretty amazing job I cant fault that but you need to work your sock's off to get where you want to be.

I first decided to go to college and do a Level 3 Production Arts Makeup Course which would mean I have a hairstyle element to the course and that we would do special effects. The course was a two year course but was stopped after one, which upset a few people on the course as most of us would have liked to complete the second year. I got my certificate to say I had passed the course and I was ecstatic. I then took the images I had taken and put them into a mini portfolio, I immediately added that to my resume aswell. BUT now the hard work really begins.

I am from a small town in the North East of England and with it being small, there are alot of makeup artists already here. So I decided to branch out into a different part of the makeup industry. Due to everyone here doing night time glam, I wanted to do photo shoots, music videos, theatre/stage and catwalk. So I immediately began to organise photo shoots for my portfolio that were my own idea/creative content. This is how I began to advertise the skills I had, so from there I was hired as special effects artist for halloween or a makeup artist on photo shoots/ music videos. You need to be prepared to work 10-12 hour days as a makeup artist, you need to be focused on the task at hand and have the ability to provide a quick service. You could be on a 10-12 hour photo shoot but have 15 models to create different looks for through out the day.

Your makeup kit needs to be well stocked and prepared. All brushes need to be cleaned after each use. This its self is very time consuming if you don't organise yourself. I have a checklist style note book that I keep in my professional makeup kit, so when I am running low on a product or I need new colours or products for clients who I have not worked with before I can make notes. I also wash my brushes after each use on set using a quick dry solution and I wash them at the end of the day, so they can dry for the day after.

Networking is another major key to you breaking into the industry, be prepared to talk to everyone and anyone in the beauty/fashion industry as anyone can hire you. Photographers, stylists, fashion designers, your next door neighbour, dancers, stage shows directors. Say you were hired by a designer, the photographer could then use you at a shoot of theirs or the model could hire you to do makeup for them. Always have business cards handy, now I don't mean carry a box full but a few for potential new clients.

Unpaid work is the perfect way to build your skills and meet new people. I do understand that its a pain in the bottom to not be paid for the work you do. I was upset about this as well but once I built up enough contacts, I was able to start charging for the work I was doing. It you network and market yourself correctly this shouldnt take you too long but I would always suggest. Unpaid is always a bonus because you build your skills and figure out what to do on set/time scales.

For now I think that this is the perfect amount of information to help you get started in this crazy and competitive industry.

Now everyone applies their makeup different and everyone watches or reads different ways of applying makeup. Seeing as though I have been asked a few times recently on how I apply my own makeup and if I have any tips I can give out.. So I thought I would share 5 of my biggest makeup top tips I share with people on shoots, weddings etc..

Hope you have a pen and paper to take note on all of these;

1. SPF. I always tell people to use an spf on their face, neck and hands when you are out and about. You can apply it under neath your makeup. SPF in your moisturiser is like your wearing sun screen, to protect you from the sun. You only need a little bit as if you use to much you can become a little oily on your face. I personally like the Malibu SPF Moisturiser.

2. Brows. Thick fluffy brows are one of my best features on my face. I would suggest using a clear brow gel to brush those rouge hairs into place. I then use an angled eye brush and a light brown eye shadow to create depth and thickness to the brows, Its the best way to create nice brows.

3. Lip Balm. When applying makeup, I always before I start apply lip balm to my lips. Lips are the last thing in the makeup process, so why not keep them soft and moisturised during the process. I am not a fan of cracked lips, so lip balm has a permanent home in my handbag.

4. Makeup Setting Spray. You don't have any setting spray left, I always use a little bit of hairspray on the makeup, Just a little mist. Hairspray is used 30cm away from the hair, but if i need to use it on my makeup I hold it even further away just so I don't get it in my face.

5. Eyeliner. If I am unsure on eyeliner. I always start with liquid liner to create 3 small dots ready to join into a slick feline flick. After I have done this and I am happy with the shape, I then go over it with a kohl pencil. That helps seal the liquid liner in and stay put all day. That way you can also smudge it out a little to create a smoke liner eye look. Which is very chic for a simple day look for work or school.

So if you have seen over on my Instagram, I am a big fan of Sanctuary Spa especially their 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask and the Night Concentrate Cream.

I use the Night Concentrate Cream every night, it has become my favourite night cream. If they ever discontinue it, I would probably cry. The cream is gorgeous on my skin, fully moisturises my skin during the night, softens and brightens my skin as well. I use it on my face and my neck. I've heard some people say don't use it on your neck but I think of the neck like when you apply foundation. You do not leave out the neck, its just weird and you end up with a foundation line and no one wants that.

You can get Sanctaury Spa products from BootsUK or TJHughes. I picked mine up from TJHughes as it was on sale in there. I paid around £4/5 for the product and I dont regret it at all.


The 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask is a muddy charcoal mask that you can apply with fingers or with a brush all over your face and neck. I always fully remove all makeup and make sure my face is still a little damp, so I lightly pat it dry after washing it. I find that the mask works best this way. Obviously avoid contact with your eyes, that's dangerous.

Not going to lie I wasnt sure what I was to expect when I first applied this product ( even thought in capital letters it says thermal on the front) which means warm. The product warms and cools on the face in the space of 5 mins and I crap myself when it first became warm to the skin, which is almost immediately. Use a flannel to wash off your skin, towel pat dry the face and neck afterwards.

I use this product twice a week. Once on a Monday and once on a Friday. I normally have nights in over the weekend, as I am not the biggest fan of nights out. So its a face mask, junk food and movie or work night. I know youre all thinking.. Becca how boring are you? Well yes I know that.

NIP+FAB Bee Sting Fix Lifting Mask is now a firm favourite that sits on  my beauty shelf. Here's why:

At first everyone looks at the label and goes 'Bee Sting' 😱. Trust me I've been the same, its terrifying. You think it may hurt, sting, make your face really puffy but no it doesn't. Obviously make sure you are not allergic to bee stings before you buy or test the product.

I'm not a fan off bee stings or bees for that matter but I went home and researched the product after I seen it in the shops. The reviews were very mixed people loved the product and people hated the product. I decided to buy it and test it for myself and the results are amazing. I love this product.

The product says its  ' A gel mask combining bee venom with 3D express lifting effect technology to smooth + reduce appearance of wrinkles'.

* Bee Venom - helps plump + lift
* Intensyl -tenses + soothes
* Moisturising complex - hydrates + softens

The product does exactly what it says on the bottle. My skin feels so refreshed, hyrdated, soft, smooth, my cheeks are little plumped up. I started to get some wrinkles around my eyes and my forehead. How upsetting at the wrinkles, I'm only 23 years old. Boo

I would recommend using this once or twice a week. I wouldn't use it more than that, in case anything happened.

You can use this product as thick mask for 10 minutes over your face and neck and then rinse it off after 10 minutes with warm water. You can also use it as an overnight mask, just apply a very very thin layer, right before you got to bed and rinse it off as soon as you wake up in the morning.

I normally use it as a thick mask, I find it easier to maintain. Its just my preference.

The packaging for this product is very dinky, contained and the lid can be secured tight, so no spillages. The bright colours I think is genius as it matches a bee. The colour of a bee is black and yellow and the bottle is yellow and well purple. Ok its close enough haha.

This product is ideal is you are going away for the night or you have a swanky dinner coming up. You can use this product is the preparation of getting ready. Ideal.

I have two of these, one sits in my travel bag ( I've started to travel around a lot this year ) and the other on my beauty shelf.

I have become quite obsessed with Gel Polishes, I do think they look a lot nicer compared to normal polishes. I was given a gel polish kit for Christmas and since then my obsession for buying the colours has become a job practically. I am addicted to buying and even putting colours in a basket online but not buying them.

I have to say though, it takes a great skill to apply gel polish properly and not mess it up. The first time I done it, I didn't leave my nails under the light long enough or I didn't apply enough coats of colour. It was truly disastrous, where now I have learned from those mistakes and I am proud to say I have done well since then in the application process.

Basically its;

1. Base coat - Put under the LED lamp for 60 seconds
2. Colour - 1 layer - Put under the LED lamp for 60 seconds
3. Colour - another layer - Put under the LED lamp for 60 seconds
4. Top coat - Put under the LED lamp for 60 seconds

Then use a Nail Polish setter ( Cant remember the actual name. I suck, I know ) .

I have some favourite colours of Gel by CCO they are;

1. 40503 - Gold

Wearing glitter makeup for some people may be quite daunting, I've been there I get it I do..

However if you can get the right balance of glitter with the right balance of makeup. You're flying.

I've came up with a couple of individual looks for people to try, I'm also going write a step by step of each look. I wont do a step by step picture of each look. That could be a bit too much. Haha

1. Glitter as freckles..

No one should have to hide their freckles with makeup for anyone. You should embrace your natural beauty. I personally don't have freckles but I sometimes wonder what I would do if I had them. I would definitely have them on show and showcase them. For this edit though, I thought of glitter freckles.

* I used a thick circle individual glitter and I applied a couple of them across the apples of the cheeks to over the bridge of the nose.
* I then applied a tiny glitter in the same colour across the apples of the cheeks to over the nose. To add that extra shimmer.


2. Glitter eyelids..

I think glitter eyelids should be similar to when you glitter wine glasses with decoration. You apply a glitter glue ( makeup one obviously ) then you apply the glitter and then add a sealer. I have a makeup sealer spray, similar to a setting spray that I apply over the eyes once completed.

If you're going to have glitter eyes you need to at least do it right. Right?

* Apply your base shadow colour.
* Apply your glitter gel/glue over the lid. In whichever shape you want.
* Apply glitter. ( Leave to dry for a minute with your eye closed. Just so it doesn't crease)
* Apply the sealer spray ( Leave dry for a minute with your eyes closed.)


3. Glittery Lips..

Now I know people frown upon this. 'How can you wear glitter lips in the day?' ' It should be used only for photoshoots.' Well let me tell you.. This is something anyone and everyone can do.

* Choose a shade of glitter that you like.. My shade is silver/chrome.
* Apply lipstick underneath. I have gone for a matte red. ( Reason behind this as I want to leave a lip line effect around the outside of the lips. I also want to red to appear through the glitter.)
* Apply the glitter using either an angled brush or a tiny buffing brush.
* Spray with a makeup sealer to lock in.

If you haven't already guessed.. I'm going to be talking about this little gem. My favourite item in my whole makeup collection. That's right, it's my MAKEUP FOREVER LIPSTICK. I am that excited to talk about it, even the title is in bold capital letters. I picked this gem up at the local TKMAXX because we don't have a Makeup Forever store/counter where I live. I would have to travel a fair while to get to one. The packaging on this lipstick is so sleek it's perfect to take photo's of, perfect to wear, it's just the right shade for the type of colours I am into wearing at the moment. I am wearing a lot of purple, pink and navy colours. Whether it be from my makeup to hats, coats and jewellery. It's the perfect size to drop in your handbag and carry anywhere with you. It's definitely a must have at the moment for me.

See didn't I tell you, it's perfect to take photos of? How stunning is this picture? I am doing a blog post soon on how I edit my photos for blog posts and Instagram. So I shall let you know when that's ready to go live. 

The pigment on this is well and truly stunning, I honestly when I first saw the colour. I thought 'Ooo this isn't going to be that vibrant! Surely not? ' Boy was I wrong.. Its brighter than what I thought. Its such a creamy texture too so its not harsh when you apply it to the lips. I use a brush to apply it to my lip, only because there have been some occasions where I have worn this as eyeliner. Yes that works too, its not just lipstick, Ill have you know. You can tell by the photo that the colour/pigment is vibrant, it can be easily applied, not harsh on skin, doesn't wear off straight away, like some lipsticks.If you want a perfect lipstick, then look no further than MAKEUP FOREVER.  I am definitely going to find out where the closest store/counter is too me or Ill just simply order offline but I want/need more of these in lots of different colours for my makeup collection.

So I have been asked a few times recently how I get my skin so clear. 

Well I went through a time of were my skin was super oily, spotty and I didn't know why. I had tried every product out there that claimed to help clear my skin. Nothing worked. 

I stopped wearing makeup as much and if I had to wear it, it would be a thin amount and I would make sure I have taken it off fully at night or when I get in straight away. The spots still remained. 

I decided enough is enough and I needed to look into what can cause you to get spots/blemishes etc. It came up with things like are you eating and drinking healthy, do you exercise, what makeup do you use, what is your skincare routine. The more I looked into it, the more I decided to change what I eat, drink, the products I use, how I apply makeup, my skincare routine. 

I started with my food and drink intake. I was drinking so much dairy and fizzy pop it was a joke how much. So I cut down. I drank so much water and I drank milk if it was in a cup of tea or in porridge. I barely drink pop. I started with this to see if this would improve my skin. I wont lie it helped a little but it also made me feel more energetic and awake. 

I then moved onto food and I know I ate to much of the wrong foods. I started to swap heavy unhealthy meals for salads, chicken and rice. I started having snacks of fruit and yoghurts. Which dramatically improved my skin, my energy levels. I had never felt better.

My skincare routine, I think is the thing that changed the most. Instead of using baby wipes or makeup wipes ( as they were harsh on my face) I used makeup remover or micellar water is what I use now with cotton pads. I use that to remove my makeup and then I used Sanctuary Spa Night Concentrate Cream on my face and neck before I go to sleep. It helps moisturise my skin during the night. Once I wake up on a morning I wash my face using water and I use a simple foam face wash to wake my skin up/ remove any product used from the night before. I then pat dry my face and then I apply a Garnier Moisture Bomb Moisturising Day Cream. 

Ready to apply makeup. I use an spf foundation, similar to a bb cream now on my face. Spf helps in sunlight but the bb cream covers any blemishes and its thin/full coverage so I don't look like I caked my face in makeup. All my makeup after this is applied in thin layers. Not only does that help my skin but it also stays put all day and doesn't melt from sun light.

Spot remedies for during the day if you are at home. I always use a 4 hour spot treatment cream or if I have none of that left in the house I use toothpaste. Yes you read that right! Toothpaste. Just a little dab on that over the spot for around an hour and it will the redness out and calm the tender area.

I know what I have said could feel like a mouth full and it may not work for you but its what helped me and if it helps you then I will feel happy.
